Learn From Bend Insulation Experts
In Bend, the best types of insulation include fiberglass, cellulose, and spray foam. Fiberglass and cellulose are cost-effective and provide good thermal resistance. Spray foam offers superior air sealing and higher R-values, making it ideal for reducing energy costs in the variable Pacific NW climate.

Signs that your home may need more insulation include uneven temperatures between rooms, high energy bills, drafts, and walls that are cold to the touch. You might also notice ice dams forming on your roof during winter.

The cost of insulating a home in Bend varies based on the size of the home, the type of insulation used, and the areas being insulated. On average, homeowners might spend between $1,500 and $4,500 for insulation projects that improve home comfort and lower energy costs. Attic insulation tends to be less expensive than wall or crawl space insulation.
Important to note, there are often rebates and tax incentives — including the Energy Efficient Home Improvement Credit (Inflation Reduction Act) that can save up to $1,200 each year on professionally-installed insulation materials — that help lower your total cost. As part of our service, we do all we can to help you capture the savings for which you are eligible.
Yes, proper insulation can significantly reduce energy bills by improving your home’s energy efficiency. Insulation keeps warm air inside during the winter and cool air inside during the summer, reducing the need for heating and cooling. Homeowners often see a noticeable reduction in their utility bills after upgrading insulation.
The R-value measures an insulation material’s resistance to heat flow; the higher the R-value, the better the insulation’s effectiveness. In Bend, recommended R-values are R-38 to R-60 for attics, R-13 to R-23 for walls, and at least R-30 for floors. Choosing insulation with the appropriate R-value ensures optimal energy efficiency and comfort.
Insulation can last for decades, but its effectiveness can diminish over time due to factors like moisture, pests, and settling. Fiberglass and cellulose insulation typically last 20-30 years, while spray foam can last much longer. It’s recommended to check insulation every 15-20 years or if you notice signs of deterioration, such as increased energy bills or drafts.

What They Say About Us
Very professional and congenial. Work was done satisfactorily.
Omar was absolutely fabulous, and so was his crew.
Great customer service, speedy service, and quality work.
The HomeRx crew has a great spray foam department. Good for this Bend area.
HomeRX did a wonderful job on the insulation in my crawlspace. They jumped through hoops to get the job done to my specifications and the specifications of my electric company. Kevin Taylor stayed in contact throughout the process and made sure I was satisfied with the work. Great company to work with.
As the owner of an older home there are always items that come up. Sam and his crew were straight forward professional and matter of factual. They didn’t try to up sale me or fluff my issue. I’m extremely thankful for Their honesty and all the great work they preformed. Jerry S.
Literally could not be more impressed with our experience with HomeRX. Middle of summer, noticed our outside AC unit was not powering on and running - we not only had extremely prompt communications returned, but had a tech here to evaluate and diagnosis the problem the next morning. When supply chains are severely pinched, the tech worked until he found the needed part to fix out unit as fast as possible. Any interaction with the staff has been professional, courteous and helpful. Would recommend them to friends without hesitation.
Got quotes from three different companies in town. HomeRX gave a detailed quote at a fair price. Andy answered all my questions and did just what he said he would do, including a follow up call to make sure everything was working properly after install. I would use these guys again in a heartbeat. Great service and high quality product.
