Air Duct Sealing:
Don't Heat Where You Don't Live.
If your ductwork is leaking, it is impossible to reach the level of comfort you want in your home. Additionally, when your air ducts have issues with their seals, you waste energy. That costs you money, as well as inviting health issues into your home.
At HomeRx, we take your air ducts very seriously and highly recommend sealing and insulating them. Call us today for a free consultation.
What are duct sealing services?
Air ducts are constructed from different materials. Chances are your home’s air ducts are fabricated from either galvanized steel, aluminum, polyurethane and phenolic panels, fiberglass duct board, or flexible ducting—or a combination of these materials.
When your ducts were new, they may or may not have been correctly installed and insulated. If they were not, you could have been experiencing leaks and issues all along.
When air ducts are initially installed, the installers seal the seams between duct pieces and at connections. Where necessary, they insulate them. If the installers lack the appropriate training, they may use the wrong materials to seal the seams. It’s also likely they will execute the job in an inferior manner. Either way, you suffer the consequences.
Even if your air ducts were correctly installed, seam seals and duct insulation break down over time, allowing leakage. Materials can shift and rust as well, also causing leaks.
What are the advantages of duct sealing?
Duct leakage does more than reduce your ability to achieve precise comfort levels in your home. It also compromises your home’s indoor air quality (IAQ), as dust, dander, and mold is pulled in through the leaky ducts and then circulate throughout your home.
Poor indoor air quality can be dangerous, leading to chronic health issues. If someone in your home already suffers from respiratory problems—such as allergies, or asthma, poor indoor air will likely exacerbate these conditions.
Why do I need to insulate my air ducts?
There are several benefits of duct sealing and insulating:
- Your heating and cooling system can reach its optimum performance, affording you the level of comfort you want in your home.
- With no wasted or leaking energy from your ducts, your heating and cooling system can operate at its proper level without stressing it to work harder.
- Doing so helps prevent unexpected breakdowns or repairs and extends the life span of your system.
- Without leaking air, all your heating and cooling system operates as intended. You save money since your energy costs are on par with your system’s energy efficiency. Studies have shown you can save up to 40 percent on your energy costs after sealing your ducts.
- Your indoor air quality will improve. With this comes better health for all those in your home.

Homerx was great super hard workers! did attic and crawl space insulation, sealed and insulated heat ducts. New crawl space ground cover. My house now stays cool in summer. They made a huge difference on my house. would highly recommend them. Cory Damasus or
HomeRX did a great job of sealing my attic and adding additional insulation. I would recommend this company for anyone seeking to improve their home efficiency.
Home RX was an amazing company to work with. I am incredibly pleased with the insulation they installed in the attic of my 1910 cabin. This was NOT an easy job. Prompt, Poliet, clean up was excellent, Work was Excellent, and they even helped me apply for the rebate and deducted from my bill 🙂 HIGHLY recommend 😊
We were very pleased with HomeRX Insulation. It started from their home office in how professionally they conducted themselves on the phone, to the sales tech that came out to our home, to the on site guys that conducted the work. Their sales tech did a very thorough job with detailed explanation of our issues, pictures to support, and solutions to remedy the problems. The guys that came out to do the work were on time, polite, and professional. At one point we were really taken back on the care these guys took to make sure they didn't damage our doorway or stairway woodwork with the long hose to top off the blow in the insulation. When they finished the work for the day they showed us pictures of the work completed, and then cleaned up nicely. We would highly recommend HomeRX.
I had HomeRx Insulation add blown in insulation in the garage attic after a water pipe burst caused ceiling drywall and insulation damage. Getting an estimate was easy and free. The estimator was nice and noted all the places I wanted covered. After the garage repairs were done...They put baffles in the soffit vent areas, filled the soffit areas with insulation and wrapped the water pipe so it won't burst again. They needed to drill holes in the garage attic floor to get insulation in certain areas and seamlessly plugged those holes afterwards. They even wrapped a couple ducts in the attic that had missing and/or inadequate insulation (part of the estimate but not part of the damage, not a necessity...but hey...they did it so I'm happy). The installers were nice and made sure they showed me their work. I was impressed with the quality of work. I think they went above and beyond in their work and pleased with the outcome. If I ever need more insulation work in the future...I will certainly be calling HomeRx.
HomeRx completed an attic insulation, air sealing, duct sealing and crawlspace insulation project for us. Their communication was timely and professional. The estimator was very knowledgeable about our project needs and explained the work thoroughly, They were easy to schedule with, assisted us with the energy NW credits and the crew did good work. They were also competitively priced and we feel we got a good value. Would highly recommend for any insulation or air sealing projects.
They do a great job on attic insulation. Jimbo is a great guy that cares about the end product.
This company epitomizes the term professional. From the first meeting with Max, the young man that provided the quote, to the supervisor that was the last to check out the finished job, everything was done as agreed and when promised. Everyone was quick to respond when we had questions and maintained open communication during the project. We had our crawl space completely cleaned and redone with spray foam. They also sealed everything so no critters can get in and wrapped all the ductwork and water pipes. We highly recommend them.
The best honest bang for your buck! Johnny Durango is the best and solved a series of issues I had with one unit, in about ten minutes! What Johnny did that helped me move on from all of my HVAC issues: (1) When water was leaking from my unit after another HVAC company caused the leak, Johnny identified the problem and fixed it in minutes. (2) Johnny performed a diagnostic that answered literally all of my questions about whether my units had previously been serviced properly and how they should be serviced to function at full capacity (3) Johnny was not only knowledgeable about the make and models of my units, but also the design of my whole home system which helped us figure out how to maximize energy efficiency throughout the whole home - not just the problematic unit Following my diagnostic, Johnny arranged for his team to complete the work which was seamless. I cannot overstate how happy we are to have proper heat, ac, and filtration during extreme weather and changes in air quality. During the follow-up visit, Azael and Seven went above and beyond by not only conducting a deep clean, but also cleaning all of the fans until they sparkled.
Got quotes from three different companies in town. HomeRX gave a detailed quote at a fair price. Andy answered all my questions and did just what he said he would do, including a follow up call to make sure everything was working properly after install. I would use these guys again in a heartbeat. Great service and high quality product.
