Elevate Your Comfort. Attic Insulation Excellence.
Your attic can make or break your home comfort. In under-insulated homes, it’s the area we typically recommend addressing first.
A well-insulated attic adds another layer of protection from our fluctuating outdoor temperatures. It also prevents heat inside your home from escaping.
On the flip side, a poorly insulated attic drives up your energy costs. Heating and cooling account for 50 percent or more of the energy used in the typical American home. The two leading causes of energy waste are air leakage and inadequate insulation.
At HomeRx Insulation, we specialize in insulation services for homes of all shapes and sizes. We offer practical solutions for retrofit-insulation, along with new home construction.
Why Should I Insulate My Attic?
Most attics are unfinished storage spaces. They’re also the perfect place to start saving money. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) estimates the average homeowner can save up to 11 percent on their total energy costs by air sealing and adding insulation in their attics.
A poorly insulated attic forces your heating and cooling equipment to work that much harder to maintain a set temperature. An overworked HVAC system costs more to run. You’re letting money escape through the cracks, and you’re compromising your equipment’s efficiency.
Well-insulated attic space protects your indoor air quality (IAQ) and your health. It creates a barrier that prevents outdoor pollutants from entering your home. Additionally, ensuring a proper air seal covers holes that could allow for moisture buildup and encourage mold growth.
Types of Attic Insulation
Typically, loose-fill or batt insulation is used as attic insulation. Spray foam is always an excellent option—but also more expensive. Remember to look at the R-Value—the higher the value means better insulation.
Work with our professionals to decide how much insulation is needed and which type works best in your home. Remember to do your prep work by air sealing all gaps and holes. Look for discoloration or any signs of a roof leak.
Batt Insulation
Fiberglass batts provide quality insulation at a competitive price. Properly installed, it’s the most affordable way to effectively insulate a home. This insulation type is a great option for just about anywhere—exterior walls, floors, ceilings, attics, basements, and other areas of your home. Homeowners love fiberglass because it is cost effective, easy to use, and poses no fire threat. Plus, it is a terrific thermal insulator.
Spray Foam Insulation
Spray foam insulation reduces air leakage and gives maximum comfort to your home. With mechanical ventilation, it is an effective moisture management strategy too.
Spray foam has an advantage over other forms of insulation because it can fill tight crevices. It is the strongest option for maintaining indoor temperature. Plus, homes insulated with spray foam enjoy better protection against mold and mildew. It also creates a natural sound barrier so you can enjoy your quiet time.
Benefits include:
- Thermal resistance — enjoy lower heating and cooling costs. Spray foam fills gaps and voids to create a barrier that prevents energy loss. It also provides a superior R-value (resistance to heat flow / insulating power).
- Moisture barrier — controls moisture to help prevent mold, mildew, and bacterial growth. Plus, it keeps out dust and other pollutants to maintain a healthy indoor air quality (IAQ).
- Air barrier — creates a seamless insulated barrier to minimize air leakage and reduce outside noises.

Customer Reviews
Everyone at HomeRx was amazing, from my first walk through on to scheduling and the full job. The team was able to rush a job to remove old insulation to help me get some electrical work kicked off, and helped us get our attic buttoned up again after better than before. They also helped us understand rebates and incentives that helped take off a significant portion of the project cost and helped us justify upgrading an extra section of attic.
We had HomeRx update our poor attic insulation this summer. Not only did it help keep our home cooler this summer, but it’s making a huge difference in keeping our home warm this fall/winter. Their crew was extremely polite and neat and worked hard to get the job done in a timely fashion. I can highly recommend them!
Omar came on time and his team delivered the insulation in one day. As much as I am grateful for the break I got working with Pacific Power's Senior discount program, the insulation job only covered the unfinished flooring in the large attic I have and had plans for. Now it is knee deep in insulation and I'll have to figure out where the beams are safe to tiptoe on until I can reconfigure the situation. My furnace is also up there and more difficult to access. I expected they would insulate the rafters since there is plenty of livable space up there. It's going to take this lady patience and tenacity to get the attic useful. As a first-time insulation experience, it just seemed like the idea was to get the job done but not listen to what I really wanted. Still so very grateful for the break $ from Pacific Power.
Four months ago we had our attic sealed and new insulation installed by HomeRx. They did a great job! We highly recommend this company.
Could not have asked for a more diligent and accommodating project manager than Nelsin Gomez. He offered a competitive bid, was quick to respond to all questions, and his crew did a fine job covering attic air ducts in thick insulation to cut down on heating and cooling costs. We noticed the difference immediately. He has a responsive front office team who made it easy to schedule work and arrange payment.
Home Rx added R49 insulation, more ventilation and sealed everything in my attic. They also added insulation under my floor in my crawl space (there was previously none). They also cleaned everything out (it was filthy), laid down a new vapor barrier, replaced all insulation on my ducts/pipes and sealed everything. There were very fast, professional and clean. I took advantage of all applicable Energy Trust savings (Home Rx took care of all the paperwork) which saved me A LOT of money. The cost to have all this done (and more) was significantly less than the other bids I received and Home Rx actually provided more service and higher grade insulation than what the others were offering. We hear less noise from outside the house and it cools and maintains a temperature much better than before. I look forward to see how things change in the winter.
Workers were very professional and clean, and now the house has proper insulation in the attic for the first time in its life! So exited to have warmer winters and cooler summers
Home RX was a wonderful service for getting insulation blown into my attic. Aaron was the rep that came out to give me an estimate. He was excellent and explained everything so well. Thank you so much for a great service.
I had an insulation job in my attic. The project was inspected by Nelson Gomez a very nice who explained to me in details about the work needs to be done in the attic. The whole crew were very courteous very on time and the project was completed in a very nice manner.
HomeRx installed the attic insulation at a difficult site to spec, professionally, on time, as bid and left the site clean. What else could you ask for ?
The 2 guys showed up in a timely manor and did a really nice job. Day one was vacuum out the attic, day two blew in new cellulose insulation to R-49. Cleaned up nicely and on their way. Thank you.
HomeRX and Maxwell are great. They did two projects for us, full upstairs and downstairs insulation with different products suited to each space. Then later they came back to do the attic where we had minimal flooring and shallow rafters so we didn't want to risk doing it ourselves. HomeRX are responsive, fast and good value. We passed our inspections no problem and you can feel the difference in comfort. Highly recommend.
I got tired of my cold house, so I decided I'd insulate the attic myself. I planned to tear out the old insulation, and install new rolls. Estimating that I would have to remove about 200 garbage bags of insulation alone, I figured it would take the rest of my life to complete the job. I had to come up with a new plan... I heard about the Smart Grid Test Bed collaboration, a PGE program which through their incentives would pay part of the cost, and from their website, learned about Performance insulation (HomeRx). So in February of this year (2025) I called HomeRx, and Bryan came out. He looked around, and later gave me a proposal to which I agreed. About a week later, work started. Jesús and crew came out and made short work of it. They removed the 70 year old roll and blown-in insulation, and then blew in ~18'' of new fiberglass, all in two days. Two. Ahhh...finally I was warm. But I wanted more... I had them insulate the walls. Next month they blew in cellulose insulation all the way around. Again, in two days. From start to finish, office and field crew, good job everyone. Attached are some pictures showing the truck with the bag that holds the vacuumed out old blown in, and on the lawn, the removed old roll insulation. Also shown are the suction/blow in hose running through the living room, and before (pink) and after (white) pictures of the attic, and also the wall insulating in progress.
Over all great experience which Home Rx. Fast to come out for a quote. And fast to come out and install. I had the attic and my exterior walls done. Very please.
Great work! They insulated my large walkin attic and I am very happy with the quality and the price. It wound up taking longer than the initial estimate but they stuck to the agreed price.
I had insulation blown between the rafters of our second story. I thought I was going to settle with holes in our ceiling, but they proposed accessing that space via our attic to avoid impacting the finished space. They were very easy to communicate with and schedule, and were in and out within a day. Lots of protection thrown down to protect our home during the process. I would highly recommend them and will choose them again should be have future needs!
We contacted HomeRx for an estimate on our attic upgrade. Our initial contact was Nelsin, who was outstanding! He was very thorough in acquiring the information needed and explaining the process. He carefully inspected the attic and discussed his findings with photos he took! He offered several options to proceed and finalized our estimate that same day. Nelsin was easy to work with, knowledgeable, and professional. A crew arrived several weeks later to do the work. It was during a heat wave. They were very careful and stayed safe, going above and beyond to make sure everything was done perfectly. The effects were immediate and amazing! We are very satisfied customers and highly recommend HomeRx.
Everyone was great to work with, answered all our questions, and did a thorough attic inspection including pictures. Scheduling was easy and everyone showed up when they said they would.
Stephen came out explained what they would do and how they did it. He was very thorough and professional in explaining his answers to my many questions. The crew followed up and worked 10 hours installing the insulation and prepping the attic. They did a top notch job just as Stephen reassured me they would. Thank you!
The men did an excellent job of upgrading my 33 year-old attic insulation. They did everything asked of them, and quickly but thoroughly. Highly recommended.
Homerx was great super hard workers! did attic and crawl space insulation, sealed and insulated heat ducts. New crawl space ground cover. My house now stays cool in summer. They made a huge difference on my house. would highly recommend them. Cory Damasus or
The guys did a very thorough job on insulting our garage attic. We noticed the difference in the temperature inside immediately!
HomeRX did a great job of sealing my attic and adding additional insulation. I would recommend this company for anyone seeking to improve their home efficiency.
Home RX was an amazing company to work with. I am incredibly pleased with the insulation they installed in the attic of my 1910 cabin. This was NOT an easy job. Prompt, Poliet, clean up was excellent, Work was Excellent, and they even helped me apply for the rebate and deducted from my bill 🙂 HIGHLY recommend 😊
After I learned of tax rebates and credits for energy, I decided to look into adding insulation for my 1990 home. Nelsin from HomeRx performed an in-depth estimate by actually entering the attics (yes, 2 separate spaces) and the crawl space to obtain measurements. The other firm that gave me an estimate just peeked inside but never bothered to enter the spaces. I hired HomeRx and am so pleased with their work! Both the attics as well as the crawl space were completed by 2 crews in about 8 hours. These guys were such hard workers and took all the precautions to protect my floors and furnishings. The best part? They did a SUPER cleanup job and hauled away all the old junk and plastic liner from the crawlspace. I hope I don't need insulation work again but if I do, this company definitely gets my business.
Had them come spray insulation in our attic and add venting and baffling as we were severely underinsulated and having condensation issues in our attic. They were on time, efficient, professional, friendly, and very clean. As if that wasn't enough, they were very well priced for the service provided. I will absolutely be recommending them.
I had HomeRx Insulation add blown in insulation in the garage attic after a water pipe burst caused ceiling drywall and insulation damage. Getting an estimate was easy and free. The estimator was nice and noted all the places I wanted covered. After the garage repairs were done...They put baffles in the soffit vent areas, filled the soffit areas with insulation and wrapped the water pipe so it won't burst again. They needed to drill holes in the garage attic floor to get insulation in certain areas and seamlessly plugged those holes afterwards. They even wrapped a couple ducts in the attic that had missing and/or inadequate insulation (part of the estimate but not part of the damage, not a necessity...but hey...they did it so I'm happy). The installers were nice and made sure they showed me their work. I was impressed with the quality of work. I think they went above and beyond in their work and pleased with the outcome. If I ever need more insulation work in the future...I will certainly be calling HomeRx.
HomeRx completed an attic insulation, air sealing, duct sealing and crawlspace insulation project for us. Their communication was timely and professional. The estimator was very knowledgeable about our project needs and explained the work thoroughly, They were easy to schedule with, assisted us with the energy NW credits and the crew did good work. They were also competitively priced and we feel we got a good value. Would highly recommend for any insulation or air sealing projects.
Very efficient and professional crew insulated our attic. Very tidy , put plastic on our wood floors and left our house spotless.
