Beef Up Your Barriers.
Properly insulated walls protect your home from the impact of extreme temperatures. Without wall insulation, your home may become too cold during the winter and too hot during the summer.
Wall insulation is a trusted solution for comfort and energy efficiency. HomeRx specializes in insulation services, from wall insulation to attic insulation to garage insulation to crawl space insulation and more. Keeping you comfortable and lowering your energy costs are our top priorities.
Whether you are building a new home or need to retrofit to ensure your property has the appropriate amount of insulation, our experts are ready to get started on your next home insulation project.
Why You Need to Insulate Your Walls
Wall insulation is essential for reducing drafts, supporting consistent and even temperatures, and ensuring comfort throughout your home. Proper wall insulation keeps conditioned air inside your home, ultimately preventing your heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system from overworking. As a result, it helps reduce energy use and expenses.
Here is an overview of the benefits of wall insulation:
Supports an energy-efficient home: Poorly insulated walls and walls with no insulation are a source of heat transfer. Since there is no barrier, warm air will escape through your walls during the colder months and hot air will seep through when it is warmer outside. Combat this by ensuring your walls are properly insulated. Wall insulation provides a thermal barrier that minimizes heat flow and reduces your home’s energy use.
Helps you save on energy costs: By reducing heat loss and gain through walls, insulation helps to stabilize indoor temperatures. This leads to less reliance on heating and cooling systems, resulting in lower energy bills and long-term cost savings. With reduced energy consumption, you can expect substantial savings on your utility bills. Over time, you can recoup the cost of installing wall insulation through these ongoing energy savings.
Improves your overall comfort: Insulated walls can increase your comfort at home. They support consistent temperatures and reduce hot and cold spots. With proper insulation, you can enjoy a cozy atmosphere during the winter and a cooler space during the summer.
Reduces noise level: Wall insulation also acts as a sound barrier. It helps absorb and dampen noise from outside. As a result, you will enjoy the quiet inside your home instead of hearing your next-door neighbors, the garbage truck, nearby traffic, and other types of outdoor noise pollution.
Increases property value: Insulation is a selling point and adds value to your home. Energy-efficient properties are desirable and appeal to many homebuyers.
Types of Wall Insulation
There are several different types of wall insulation available. HomeRx can help you select the best kind of insulation for your home based on your particular needs and the needs of your home while also keeping your budget in mind.
The most common types include:
Batt Insulation (Good)
Fiberglass batts provide quality insulation at a competitive price. Properly installed, it’s the most affordable way to effectively insulate a home. This insulation type is a great option for just about anywhere—exterior walls, floors, ceilings, attics, basements, and other areas of your home. Homeowners love fiberglass because it is cost effective, easy to use, and poses no fire threat. Plus, it is a terrific thermal insulator.
Blown-In Blanket System / BIBS (Better)
BIBS® uses loose-fill or blown-in insulation comprised of materials ranging from cellulose to fiberglass. Its main upside is that it’s tightly packed to better maintain desired temperature and reduce noise. It costs only slightly more than batts. As an insulation type that literally fills desired spaces, it’s a great solution for insulating existing finished areas in your home. Plus, it can be used to insulate hard to reach or irregularly shaped areas that batt insulation couldn’t fill.
Spray Foam Insulation (Best)
Spray foam insulation reduces air leakage and gives maximum comfort to your home. With mechanical ventilation, it is an effective moisture management strategy too.
Spray foam has an advantage over other forms of insulation because it can fill tight crevices. It is the strongest option for maintaining indoor temperature. Plus, homes insulated with spray foam enjoy better protection against mold and mildew. It also creates a natural sound barrier so you can enjoy your quiet time.
Benefits include:
- Thermal resistance — enjoy lower heating and cooling costs. Spray foam fills gaps and voids to create a barrier that prevents energy loss. It also provides a superior R-value (resistance to heat flow / insulating power).
- Moisture barrier — controls moisture to help prevent mold, mildew, and bacterial growth. Plus, it keeps out dust and other pollutants to maintain a healthy indoor air quality (IAQ).
- Air barrier — creates a seamless insulated barrier to minimize air leakage and reduce outside noises.

Customer Reviews
It's hard enough to keep the kids and dog quiet for office calls. When we discovered that the wall in between the office and family room were hollow no wonder we were having issues. HomeRx had the solution for us! The drilled holes in the wall and filled it with insulation. They were on time, used plastic sheets and cardboard to protect our home, worked efficiently and left our home in great shape. Our office is considerably quieter. I highly recommend HomeRx and would use them again!
I had HomeRx Insulation add blown in insulation in the garage attic after a water pipe burst caused ceiling drywall and insulation damage. Getting an estimate was easy and free. The estimator was nice and noted all the places I wanted covered. After the garage repairs were done...They put baffles in the soffit vent areas, filled the soffit areas with insulation and wrapped the water pipe so it won't burst again. They needed to drill holes in the garage attic floor to get insulation in certain areas and seamlessly plugged those holes afterwards. They even wrapped a couple ducts in the attic that had missing and/or inadequate insulation (part of the estimate but not part of the damage, not a necessity...but hey...they did it so I'm happy). The installers were nice and made sure they showed me their work. I was impressed with the quality of work. I think they went above and beyond in their work and pleased with the outcome. If I ever need more insulation work in the future...I will certainly be calling HomeRx.
Our new home builder did not insulate an entire wall and both corners in our garage. This company was able to insulate all those areas making a significant difference in temperature. Very pleased with the results, the two workers professional and polite. They cleaned up the entire area also.
HomeRx applied spray foam to the exterior walls of my ADU project and they did their work quickly and efficiently. There were a few low spots that we pointed out the next day and they came back, checked the entire place for anything else that may have been missed, and fixed the issue. I would work with them again as they were also affordable.
The guys from HomeX did a great job on my garage ceiling and blown in insulation in the garage walls, very happy, they were on time, courtesy and left the space the way they found it. Thanks Home X
Small Blown-in Insulation Job Executed Perfectly! We needed a cavity below our living room bay window filled with blown-in insulation. We were worried that a contractor would not be interested in such a small job. Fortunately, HomeRx came to the rescue with a prompt response and reasonable quote. Samuel got us on the schedule the next week! The installation crew was fantastic. They arrived on time and took great care to protect our living room from insulation debris. They drilled four small holes into the drywall and filled the entire cavity with insulation. Next they did a very professional job to spackle the holes and cleaning up the work area. We could not have been more pleased and will definitely contact with HomeRx for future home projects.
I had my garage walls and ceiling insulated this week. It has made a noticeable difference in the temperature in the garage...no more fluctuations with the outdoor temperatures. The men on the crew that completed the work were masked, polite, answered any questions or concerns, and cleaned up everything when their job was completed. I would recommend them and their quality work ethic to do any job. Thank you!
Purchased a Mitsubishi Heating & AC Wall Unit for our bedroom addition (300+ sq. ft.) in March 2019 and now in November, a Mitsubishi Heating & AC Ceiling Unit for our living room & dining room area (600+ sq. ft.). Adrian, installed both units and provided excellent service during the time he was in our home. Many thanks to Donn for his quality time in detailing heating & AC options available for our home. His coordination in having the install completed allowed our family to enjoy a warm and comfortable holiday!
